PSC staffer proposes putting AEP energy efficiency program on hiatus

Programs for Appalachian Power and Wheeling Power customers to lower their utility bills should be put “on hiatus” until it’s clear they provide a net benefit, a member of the state Public Service Commission’s independent staff said, but the company and outside parties say that argument is based on misused statistics.
